Welcome to the final conference in Sand Life. The restoration project has run into its final year and a lot has happened in the sandy habitats since the start in August 2012. During three days in May (22 – 24 of May 2018) we will show you what the project has achieved and what effect it has had on the plants and animals of the sandy habitats.

We will also listen to experts on species and habitats in sandy areas, what research is going on and finally we will hear what other restoration projects in Europe have achieved. One of the conference days, we will visit different sites in eastern Skåne that the project has restored.

The conference

Time: from May 22 at 1200 to May 24 at 1200 during 2018

Place: Länsförsäkringar facilities in Kristianstad, Skåne

Registration: The conference is free of charge, however the participants need to pay for their own travel and accommodation. Last date for registration is 07/05/2018. You register here.

Accommodation: There are a few rooms pre-booked and these will be held until 30/04/2018 for the con-ference at the hotels First Hotel Christian IV and Quality Hotel Grand Kristianstad. Please book the rooms yourself and mention the reference “Sand Life” when you book.

Target group: The conference is directed to people interested in nature conservation, conservation of spe-cies and biotopes, combating invasive species and research on sandy habitats.
